The entire Agricultural Laws Act, 2020 was repealed
Today (01 December 2021) and henceforth the Agriculture Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 may be called the Agriculture Laws Repeal Act, 2021. Under this Act, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Act, 2020, the Farmer Products Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 are hereby repealed.

Process from Agriculture Laws Bill (2020) to Agriculture Laws Act (2020)
Let us tell you that these three laws were brought by the Government of India in the name of Agriculture Laws Bill, 2020 in both the houses of Parliament in the last year (2020). These three agricultural law bills of the Government of India were passed in both the houses of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Then, after the seal of President Ram Nath Kovind on this Agricultural Laws Bill (2020), this bill became ‘Agriculture Laws Act, 2020’. Kindly note that these laws came into force on 27 September 2020.
Agricultural Laws Act, 2020 now is as Agricultural Laws Repeal Act, 2021
Finally, the Agriculture Laws Act, 2020 of the country stands completely repealed from today. In protest against these bills, farmers have camped on the borders of the capital Delhi for a year.
Under the constitutional provisions to repeal all these three agricultural laws brought under this Act by the Modi Government in 2020, on the very first day of the winter session (29 November 2021, Monday), the central government brought the Agricultural Laws Repeal Bill, 2021.
The Agricultural Laws Repeal (Withdrawal) Bill, 2021 was passed by both the Houses of Parliament Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on 29 November 2021. The Bills were passed by voice vote amid huge uproar by the opposition Members of Parliament.
President’s seal on Agricultural Law Return Bill, 2021
Today (On Wednesday, 01 December 2021) President Ram Nath Kovind has given his final seal on the Agricultural Laws Return Bill (2021). And henceforth the Agriculture Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 may be called the Agriculture Laws Repeal Act, 2021. With this, all three agricultural laws have now been formally repealed.
Differences in farmer organizations on MSP
Now that all the three agricultural laws of 2020 have been repealed, open differences have come to the fore in the farmers’ organization’s regarding the return of the ongoing movement on the Delhi border after the withdrawal of the agricultural law. One section of the farmers is in the mood to return, while the other section is demanding the government to give a guarantee on MSP.
